I cannot overstate how grateful I will always be to Jon for his dedication and his work. Time after time Jon proved himself to be not only a highly effective and dependable attorney, but also an advocate for me and my family’s best interests. I would not hesitate to hire Jon again in the future and I highly recommend him.

Jon always responded quickly to phone calls and emails. His responsiveness and unwavering attention were reassuring and supportive. His impeccable attention to detail was a result of sincere compassion. I can say with 100% certainty that he truly cared about me and my family. At times he even provided information, resources, and advice on how to handle some matters on my own in order to save money.

Jon worked on multiple cases for me and my family over the course of three years and he consistently delivered top notch results and service. He was thorough, knowledgeable, responsive, trustworthy, and compassionate.

Jon went above and beyond to answer our questions and empower us to do our own research. He was receptive to the evidence we put forward in our very emotionally trying case. He reassured us through some very difficult experiences, always with a balanced approach and considering the safety of our daughter.

I hired Jonathan to consult me with a pending child custody battle. He was very quick to respond and was always ready to accommodate me. His advice was legally sound and he was very careful to suggest ways I could research some topics on my own in order to save money by requiring less time to be charged. I really appreciated that.

Whenever I needed him to stand strong on my behalf, he did so. I would recommend him…for anyone in need of legal counsel.

There are no words I can come up with to accurately describe how appreciative and thankful I am that Jon represented me. I put my trust in him and he delivered. He went above and beyond my highest expectation. Jon is extremely knowledgeable, a quick thinker in and out of court, and has a very courteous mannerism. I highly recommend Mr. Jonathan Trause to anyone seeking legal counsel.

Jon is a member of the Oregon State Bar, the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association, the Oregon Association of Collaborative Professionals, the American Bar Association, and sits on the Executive Committee of the Gus J. Solomon Inn of Court. He received his J.D. from Lewis and Clark Law School with a certificate in Public Interest Law and is a graduate of San Francisco State University, where he majored in Creative Writing.

Jon has lived in several places but has called Portland, Oregon home since 2004. In his free time, Jon enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He plays several different instruments, has co-written and co-produced theatrical plays, and once co-wrote a short film that was screened at the Cannes Film Festival.
